For the past twenty years Rikki
Stubbs has consulted on
colour and interior design,
leaving her stylish handprint
on many of Australia’s most
beautiful homes. She is
passionate about art and
trained as a painter. It is this
sensibility that she brings to
her work as a colourist and
interior designer.

“Designing a room is like
making a painting. The colour
palette, where to place the
colour, how much, the shapes,
proportions, layering, directing
the eye, evoking the senses ~
all of this I have learnt from
painting.”

Using colour as the starting
point, and in consultation with
client and architect, Rikki
selects and specifies the
interior and exterior materials
and finishes. Colour, texture
and pattern are layered
through flooring, tiles, veneers,
fabrics, furniture and artwork.
